YOUR TASKS
Development and implementation of global procurement strategies to optimise costs
Identifying, selecting and qualifying new suppliers worldwide
Support in the negotiation of prices, delivery conditions and contracts with international partners
Carrying out market analyses to identify trends, opportunities and risks in global purchasing
Collaboration with internal specialist departments (e.g. production, logistics, quality management) to ensure a smooth project execution
Establishing and maintaining long-term relationships with strategic suppliers
Continuous optimisation of the sourcing process
Reporting to the management
your profile
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management (focus: Finance/Procurement), Business Administration or a comparable qualification, e.g. gained through professional experience
Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing, ideally in an international environment
Structured and result-oriented way of working
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Intercultural competence and willingness to travel for international supplier visits
Good knowledge of German and English, other languages especially from the Asian and/or Eastern European countries are an advantage
Experience with the structures of plant construction and its suppliers (steel construction, sheet metal construction suppliers, etc.) and interest in large-scale plant building projects
Knowledge of international trade regulations is an advantage
Confident handling of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
